SHANGHAI, October 21, 2008 – Morrison & Foerster’s partnership with Wokai, a nonprofit organization working to build the microfinance sector in China, was chosen by The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai as a finalist for its 2008 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award.  The awards aim to acknowledge the companies and organizations in the forefront of promoting world class corporate citizenship.

The firm assisted Wokai in gaining legal status as a Foreign Representative Office in Beijing and other areas including advice on government relations, contract negotiations, operational security, risk management and portfolio diversification.
